Jim West is Upset With Me for Shutting Down the Biblioblogger List

Jim West just can't take it, 'cause that means he can't crow anymore about his monthly rankings. Sorry Mr. Bible Belt, but you just got roped in by this cowboy. Your time is over, you has-been. So now he's resorted to slamming me not just once, but twice. For the record, I'm now ranked in 4th place among Bibliobloggers at Alexa, coming in at 223,352, overtaking the prolific James McGrath, who's definition of a miracle includes such a feat. No wonder they don't want to do the list anymore, 'cause who wants it known that a site called "Debunking Christianity" beat out most Bible Blogs. This is a smack down, I'd say, and I was only getting started. ;-)

Take that, Goliath! Maybe miracles do occur for those who don't believe in them. Best news this atheist ever heard.

Hey, he likens you to Reagan. What a compliment!

While I applaud your recent increase, I don't think you can get enough visitors to topple Pastor Jim West. Your best bet is to get the big atheist blogs (PZ and Hemant) to give you a big traffic boost from time to time.

I just saw the post where Jim West likened you to a drag queen, under the impression that this was humour.

Guess who must have got a JP Holding 'Christian Witnessing for Dummies' book for Christmas!

Yes, Qohelet, that's true. Doing so is required, but then I know how to do what's required when I set my sights on it.

Dr. Jim West's comment referring to John Loftus as someone "wishing-he-were-a-biblioblogger" are quite ironic. Why does Dr. West question Loftus' claims to be a biblioblogger when Loftus has degrees in theological studies from institutions whose existence is not in question?

I find the underlying humor of this entire battle for the heart of the interwebs highly entertaining, because I know you are smart enough to know that moving up or down in rank says nothing about the validity of the arguments.

However, it is amusing to pretend like it does and watch the emotional banter :)

Ah, a world where being wrong about supernatural beings is okay, humorous, and fun. That's the way it should be!

At this point I would highly recommend posting something about how you would be roasting at the stake if you lived in Geneva circa 1540... and good Lord, that would only be for denying infant baptism... heaven knows how the creativity of that man would have reached its peak with the likes of someone like you...

There was an obscure band called the Mumbletypegs that had a song that went

Never play poker with a man named Doc,
Don't go out on a limb,
Don't eat dinner at a place called "Mom's,"
And never take religion from a man named Jim...

Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Jones

Just add Jim West to that group, although he's more of a buffoon than a serious threat.
