Craig/Parsons Debate on Why I Am / Am Not a Christian

This debate between William Lane Craig and Keith Parsons isn't getting the hits it should. On YouTube it only has 67 hits. The best audio can be found here, with part two found here. Parsons owned Craig. [First Posted 4/9/08]

That's the first time I ever hear WLC personal story.

It's always the same story, isn't it? Either people are brainwashed by Christianity, or they can't deal with the fact that life is indeed *ultimately* meaningless, so they need the illusion of eternal life.

You really have to wonder, what would have happened if the girl he talked to was a Mormon, or a Muslim? We all know the answer actually: reasonablemormonism.org or reasonableislam.org

Listening to the debate was illuminating.

On the off chance that Tim still occasionally reads these pages, I would like to point out that Dr. Craig does claim he "Doesn't read Bishop Spong".

I hope that Tim and Harvey will attack him for his closed-mindedness.

I'm less than 10 minutes in, and Craig is already misrepresenting cosmology... bleah. Does he have to treat everything as dogma?

But that reminded me of a nice conversation with cosmologist Sean Carroll that I watched recently. Highly recommended if you want to learn a bit more about what modern cosmology is actually like.
