"A 37-year-old diesel mechanic, Yahle said he had no awareness of what happened until family members told him. He said he did not have any afterlife experience that he can recall."
“I have no memory of anything. I went to bed … woke up five days later in the hospital.”
WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio – Tony Yahle was rushed to the hospital on the night of August 5 after irregular breathing alarmed his wife, Melissa. He arrived at the hospital in critical condition according to WHIO. Doctors at Kettering Medical Center attempted stimulate his heart for 45 minutes but he was declared deceased.
As nurses were about to let the entire family in to see him, he began to show signs of life. Yahle was taken by helicopter to Ohio State University Medical Center and after five days of treatment, he woke up.
“Nobody really has an explanation for it, medically anyway,” Yahle told WHIO-TV. “Then everybody started telling me how it happened and that’s when I started to understand a miracle happened.” Yahle said.
Yahle’s heart affliction is still unknown, but cardiologist Dr. Raja Nazir said his recovery is unlike anything he’s ever seen.
“In last 20 years I’ve never seen anybody who we have pronounced dead…and then for him to come back, I’ve never seen it. Actually, I’ve never heard of it,” Dr. Nazir said.
