My Response to a Pro Israeli Bible Thumper

Here is a response to a Bible thumper espousing a Pro Israel political view. He wrote:
To the editor:

According to the Bible when Jesus was born, wise men from the East hailed Him as “King of the Jews.” Five days before His crucifixion the multitudes cried out: “Blessed is the King of Israel.” And when Jesus was crucified, above His head on the cross, Pilate placed this accusation: “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.”

Most people attach no literal meaning to that title, especially one that has anything to do with Jews. Jesus was a Jew. He descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jesus clearly identified himself with the Jews and the nation Israel.

Israel appears 2,566 times in the Bible. Jerusalem is named more than 800 times. The expression “God of Israel” appears over 200 times. We should realize by this that “Jerusalem” and “Israel” are subjects very close to the heart of God. It is here where God established His throne, and on that throne the Messiah, Jesus, King of the Jews must reign over Israel and the world.

Knowing that only Jesus can defeat him, Satan has influenced 3,000 years of anti-Semitism. Destroying all Jews would have prevented Jesus from being born. But Satan failed. He then tried to kill Jesus on the cross, but He rose from the grave. And Satan failed again.

But if all Jews could be destroyed today, God could not fulfill His promise that Jesus Christ would reign as king of the Jews at his second coming. God would be a liar and Satan the winner. God’s integrity and eternal purposes are linked to Israel’s survival.

The shameful horror of anti-Semitism throughout history provides a shocking depiction of the human heart. Satan found many only too eager to persecute and even kill God’s chosen people.

For those who wish to stand against God’s people, let them be aware, they could be doing the devil’s work.

In all the ages God has had only one plan, and that plan is that his glory and his salvation should go forth from Israel to all nations. Israel and Jerusalem are truly unique in that they are central in God’s great plan for the earth.

The Bible makes it clear that the choice of the Jewish people was for God’s own redemptive purposes on earth. God chose Israel to introduce the “Savior” to the world, his only son Jesus Christ, and the “King of the Jews.”

Ken Blinco Link.
Here is my response:
Let me comment on Ken Blinco’s ignorant use of the Bible to justify a pro Israeli political stance in this modern era of weapons of mass destruction.

First, if we take the Bible at face value, which Blinco does, then to fulfill God's Palestinian land promise to them their God orders the complete genocide of the Canaanites, their children, and their livestock in a massive land grabbing blood fest. I’m sure Blinco would not be in favor of genocide today, although he thinks nothing of the horror of what such a God supposedly commanded the Hebrews to do in the past.

Second, Blinco’s conviction that the land of Palestine and Jerusalem are “central in God’s great plan for the earth” was the same one the church used to justify several bloody Crusades to capture Jerusalem from the infidels in the Middle Ages. Crusades, you know, those murderous wars that most Christians claim they never would have participated in, even though Blinco shares the same conviction they did.

Third, even though Blinco and most all Christians have learned to be more racially tolerant and anti-Semitic he fails to realize that ever since Jesus was railroaded to his death by Jews most Christians have been anti-Semitic. Even the reformer Martin Luther, the founder of the Lutheran church, wrote in 1543 in his tract, On the Jews and Their Lies:
“First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them.

This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians, and do not condone or knowingly tolerate such public lying, cursing, blaspheming of his Son and of his Christians .

Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed . . .

Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.

Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb.

Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews.

Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasures of silver and gold be taken from them and put aside for safekeeping .

Seventh, I recommend putting a flail, an ax, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hands of young strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow, as was imposed on the children of Adam.”
Fourth, most all Christians deny the theology that Blinco expresses. Even Paul the Apostle said “there was neither Jew nor Greek” (Galatians 3:28 ). One’s race should not matter, says Paul.

Blinco’s ignorant pro Israel dispensational political theology among U.S. Congressmen has actually provoked Muslim aggression, and should be abandoned. In its place most voices are calling for a more balanced approach where the US shows humanitarian concern to Israel and at the same time holds Israel accountable for its treatment of the Muslim inhabitants of the land

I think that this is one of the big problems I have with religion. They will sit around talking about how good the bible is and then turn around and say how unchristians things done in the name of their god are.

In his book on MLK, "I May Not Get There With You" Professor Michael Eric Dyson tells of MLK's last night on earth. On page 162 he states that MLK is reported to have been "Fucking for God". On one of the FBI tapes on MLK he is heard saying, "Come over here, you big black motherfucker and let me suck your cock." The comment was directed to Rev, Ralph Abernathy.

YO SHAYYA,

Just picture a naked, six-year-old female child & a fifty-four-year-old lecherous Arab and he putting his large PENIS between the child's thighs & using them like the sides of a vagina to ejaculate. Or picture this lecherous, naked Arab sucking the "pussy" of the naked, six-year-old female child until he "shoots" his load of semen all over the place. And Allah watching & approving of his prophet debauching this innocent, six-year-old child. Allah is some FUCKING god & so is his pervert prophet!!!

AISHA WASHING SEMEN FROM MUHAMMED’S CLOTHES
From the Hadith of Bukhari:

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 229:

Narrated 'Aisha:

I used to wash the traces of Janaba (semen) from the clothes of the Prophet and he used to go for prayers while traces of water were still on it (water spots were still visible).

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 230:

Narrated 'Aisha:

as above (229).

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 231:

Narrated Sulaiman bin Yasar:

I asked 'Aisha about the clothes soiled with semen. She replied, "I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah's Apostle and he would go for the prayer while water spots were still visible. "

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 232:

Narrated 'Amr bin Maimun:

I heard Sulaiman bin Yasar talking about the clothes soiled with semen. He said that 'Aisha had said, "I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah's Apostle and he would go for the prayers while water spots were still visible on them.

Volume 1, Book 4, Number 233:

Narrated 'Aisha:

I used to wash the semen off the clothes of the Prophet and even then I used to notice one or more spots on them.

Talmud Permits Child-Adult Sex

Talmud law permits sexual intercourse between children and adults. This doctrine is contained in a number of Mishnahs.

Now let's look at a Mishnah from Kethuboth 11a:

MISHNAH. WHEN A GROWN-UP MAN (7) HAS HAD SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH (8) A LITTLE GIRL, (9) OR WHEN A SMALL BOY (10) HAS INTERCOURSE WITH A GROWN-UP WOMAN, OR [WHEN A GIRL WAS ACCIDENTALLY] INJURED BY A PIECE OF WOOD (11) — [IN ALL THESE CASES] THEIR KETHUBAH IS TWO HUNDRED [ZUZ] …

— Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Kethuboth 11a
Soncino 1961 Edition, page 57

The translator, Rabbi Dr. Samuel Daiches, amplifies the text with footnotes:

7. A man who was of age.
8. Lit., 'who came on'.
9. Less than three years old.
10. Less than nine years of age.
11. Lit., 'One who was injured by wood', as a result of which she injured the hymen.

— Rabbi Dr. Daiches

Let's review the above-cited Mishnah: "When a grown-up man has had sexual intercourse with a little girl, or when a small boy has intercourse with a grown-up woman …" It is obvious that sex activity between a grown man and a little girl, and between a grown woman and a little boy, is a part of the woof and the warp of everyday Talmud life; such relationships, in the eyes of the Sages, are unremarkable. There is no prohibition on sexual activity between adults and young children — it is simply regulated. Recall the words of the Very Reverend the Chief Rabbi of the British Empire the late Dr. Joseph Herman Hertz:

I might actually agree with you about politics in the Middle East (I really don't know anything about politics in the Middle East), but I want to address how poorly your case is argued here. While you get full marks for shock value (I'm sure the ignorant would be shocked - I wasn't), most of your post is sadly lacking in relevance.

The first paragraph is the only one that has any merit, though it's pretty underwhelming. I do have to admit that your prose is beautiful, especially "land grabbing blood fest." The argument itself, left unstated, is that God's actions in the Old Testament conflict with His being a God of love and justice therefore the Bible is false therefore Blinco is wrong. Not really earth-shattering. People who already reject the Bible are already not on board with Blinco. Those who don't are not going to suddenly throw out the Bible on the basis of a single paragraph nestled in a discussion of international politics. (The issue of the Israelites slaughtering the Canaanites cannot be answered briefly, but John Piper does a pretty good job anyway.)

The second paragraph is just bad rhetoric. Just because a particular idea has been used as motivation for an immoral action does not mean that the idea itself is wrong. I doubt you condemn the Theory of Evolution just because it was used by nazis to justify their claim to be a master race.

I'm not even sure what the argument in the third paragraph is. Are you saying that because lots of Christians used anti-Semitic, we should go on being anti-Semitic? Anti-Semitism is not a part of the Christian faith and never was. Those who thought it was were wrong.

For your fourth point, if you're going to use statistics, you need to have some statistics. You may be right, but I don't believe you because it's too easy for someone to type that without having any justification for it. Besides which, I would not use polling the audience as a means to determine correct theology.

Finally, your Paul quote is misused. If you're trying to say that all people are created equal, that's true and Biblical, but that's not what Galatians 3:28 is about. The full verse is "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Paul is not saying that there are no distinctions; he's very clear about distinguishing men and women in other verses. What he's saying is that these distinctions are less important than the unity of being Christians. It has no application to non-Christians whatsoever.

As for the actual issue at hand, I would say that it is true that the nation of Israel plays a special part in God's plan in the past and in the future. However this does not mean that Israel is always right or that it should be accorded any particular privilege. As far as the dealings of nations are concerned, Israel stands equal with all others.

The above sick-o individual who calls himself Leonardo de la Paor has an email name which goes by nonamenoname with an email address tallandwisecentre@gmail.com.

Since it is a .com it appears to be some type of business.

(The reason I know he is the same individual is that he has been sending me this same crap to my email address. He appears to me to be a member of the American Nazi Party.)

I would invite anyone who wants to drop him a line and let him know how you feel about his crap.

This whol thing is in total contradiction.

Just like John said, the Israelites destroyed cities and murdered men, women, and children to take the promised land of Canaan.
Yet.
Other hand, we have Blinco telling us that this is all central to the fact that God wanted to bring the Messiah from the Israelites to the rest of the world and save us all?

If Gods central plan in all this was to save us all, then why wouldn't He have chosen a more peaceful and merciful way to remove the Canaanites????

Whatever else may be wrong with Leonardo, do his quotes come from the stated sources, or not?

I'm sure a few posted scans from those pages would clear things up for everybody.

I don't know how old she was when she was quoted, but she married at 9 or 10:

You don't have to be a Nazi (and he's from Morocco, if I remember, and has seen some of this bullshit first hand) to be disgusted by some of what religions teach.

I knew someone who said he was once part of a group hosted by "the Prince of Thailand." He got to his hotel room and found a 10-year old girl sitting on the bed. Oops, wrong room, he thought. The concierge then explained that she was part of the amenities.

Girls are on the same level as dogs there, he told me. There are more strays around than they know what to do with. But the Buddhist monks sure were living well (and are probably celibate, it should be said). Maybe it will occur to them to explain to the 95% who claim to be practicing their religion in Thailand that raping little girls is wrong someday.

If he'd stop being so abrasive, our friend here does seem to have a few things to contribute.

BEWARE:

HARRY McCALL IS A CLOSET MUSLIM!!

Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

You can bring experiences to the table that Americans are unlikely to ever share, but it's a shame that you're not exactly making any friends here.

You might start a blog of your own. I for one would be interested to hear more about what you've seen in your country.

Here is an example of Leonardo de la Paor’s mental instability in his own words.

Here is how he opened an email to me:

Herr Harry,

I vant yu to rite out 10,000 tims, HARRY McCALL IS A FAGGOT!

YAH VUL

Here is how he opens a post here on DC:

BEWARE:

HARRY McCALL IS A CLOSET MUSLIM!!

So, according to Leonardo de la Paor, I’m a closet Muslim who must convince myself I’m a “FAGGOT” by writing it 10K times! Great logic Leonardo, especially for one who knows nothing about my personal life.

But lets don’t stop here. Lets look his uneducated distorted use of the Talmud.

In his post above, Leonardo cites the Seder Nashim (on Women) and for his proof text out of contexts. But because of his limited understanding of Jewish law he needs something sexual (as he is fixated on sex), so he (or some pointed it out to him)took Kethuboth (or the laws relating to Jewish married life) especially subjects dealing with questions of immoral conduct and infidelity, and the relative rights of a father and husband, and other topics.

Now Leonardo has his proof text to make a false point on and taken totally out of contexts. To do this, his ignorance of the Talmud fueled by his hate of Jews, takes over.

Here how he re-titles this section on the Mishnah:

Talmud Permits Child-Adult Sex

How do we know that Leonardo does not know what the hell he is talking about. He thinks “Mishnahs” are sections of the Seder on women.

Hello, dumb ass? There is only one Mishnah! It is the Mishnah discussed in the Gemara that makes up the Talmud.

The word Hebrew Mishnah is singular has noted by its ending (ah).

Then this num skull continues his rambling ignorance by telling us that the Kethuboth “is contained in a number of Mishnahs.” Now he thinks that this Jewish law of damages is some sort of doctrine that one must confess to be a Jewish!

Finally, Leonardo closes with a cut and past quote from a British rabbi put out of context to make it look as if this rabbi agrees with Leonardo’s wrapped and totally uneducated use of the Talmud!

What ever more hilarious is the fact that our Leonardo’s hatred of Jews and Judaism, he uses a picture of a Hasidic Jew for his Google post!

Sorry dumb ass Leonardo de la Paor, you were only to use the picture of a Hasidic Jew when you are attacking Moslems! Dha!!

What a dumb ass loser!
