Nerdstock: 9 Lessons and Carols

This is a non-religious Christmas celebration of comedy, science and music recorded live at London's Hammersmith Apollo in December 2009.

Stand-up comedian and humanist Robin Ince is joined by a host of leading lights from the world of science, including Richard Dawkins, Brian Cox, Simon Singh and Ben Goldacre, as well as musicians and top comedians from Mark Steel to Shappi Khorsandi. There are some pretty entertaining and informational things here. But look at the crowd! It's encouraging to see godless people can fill up such a theater.

Normally a "lurker" but had to say Hey! Kudos to anonkai via YouTube. Channel 4 vids in the US are not available. So via anonkai's channel, all can enjoy! I know it's not the same vibe as being there. But this is the next best thing I've got!

this is on bbc iplayer just now, but only in the uk. this is one of things i love about britain. we get, on national tv, a celebration of godlessness.

if you haven't seen it, the rap on evolution is one of the greatest pieces of performance art i have ever seen. shivers down my back - genius.
