Not a bad list. They have Tool on there but they are missing an even better song by A Perfect Circle called Judith (the singer/song writer for Tool and A Perfect Circle are the same). If you like rock, give it a try, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23eZMdixAuk.
Another good song is Domingo by Yello (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVIM18grmJA). Here's a taste of the lyrics (they are sung in French with English translation provided):
Je deteste l'idee de dieu et de son fils [I hate the idea of God and His son] C'est une des idees les plus diaboliques [It's one of the most diabolical ideas] Dans l'histoire entiere de l'homme [In the whole history of man]
A little bit too much heavy metal but it's still a good list. I love that Bad Religion song. Needs some Cursive in there. Their Happy Hollow album talks a lot about atheism.
The world is neither fair nor unfair The idea is just a way for us to understand But the world is neither fair nor unfair So one survives The others die And you always want a reason why
But the world is neither just nor unjust It's just us trying to feel that there's some sense in it No, the world is neither just nor unjust And though going young So much undone Is a tragedy for everyone
I would recommend "When the President Talks to God" by Bright Eyes. While this song is not overtly atheist claiming there is no god, it does lay out the dangers of Christianity combined with political power (something I think Sam Harris does as well in The End of Faith). You can get it free at iTunes. Good song.
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill; I will choose a path that's clear I will choose freewill.
Or TOM SAWYER
No, his mind is not for rent To any God or government. Always hopeful, yet discontent, He knows changes arent permanent, But change is
The above link, is your #1 atheist song of All Time. Even though, I am not an atheist I would have to say that song more than any really struck a chord with me as a young man.
Soul Searching by Little River Band, from their 1988 album Monsoon, narrates a search for spiritual meaning. Julian Lennon's 1991 hit Saltwater well encapsulates that our technological and scientific progress is not matched by equivalent moral progress.

I think the 'Read More' link should not appear when there is no more to read. Cuz you click it and nothing happens and readers are like "Huhwuh???"
Pfff, nevermind, the 'Read More' link doesn't work at all, as John said in an earlier post. Sorry...
I'd agree with the Rev.
Could also use Where the birds always sing by the Cure.

Rush is good for some rational lyrics:
FREEWILL
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill.

I'll add an atheist rap artist for a little change of pace:
http://www.myspace.com/greydonsquare
Greydon Square was a member (or might still be) of the "Rational Response Squad."
If you go over to Greydon Square's Myspace Page you can listen to a few of his songs--I like the song "Cubed" and "2008 AD Atheist Dreadnaught."

Try David Bazan's new album. "Hard to Be":
You’ve heard the story
You know how it goes
Once upon a garden
We were lovers with no clothes
Fresh from the soil
We were beautiful and true
In control of our emotions
‘Til we ate the poison fruit
And now it’s hard to be
Hard to be
Hard to be a decent human being
Wait just a minute
You expect me to believe
That all this misbehaving
Grew from one enchanted tree?
And helpless to fight it
We should all be satisfied
With this magical explanation
For why the living die
Childbirth is painful
We toil to grow our food
Ignorance made us hungry
Information made us no good
Every burden misunderstood
So I swung my tassel
To the left side of my cap
Knowing after graduation
There would be no going back
And no congratulations
From my faithful family
Some of whom are already fasting
To intercede for me
Because it’s hard to be
Hard to be a decent human being
David Bazan also has a song called "When We Fell". It states the obvious. God created us and in our "fall from grace", He nudged us.
